2009 MALYMPEX UK OPEN MARTIAL ARTS CHAMPIONSHIPS 13th SEPTEMBER 2009 The BBZFA team had a very successful day, scooping no less than 4 medals. Paul Davies took 1st place in the Mens Kumite over 5ft 10 category, 2nd place in the Mens Light Continuous over 5ft 10 category and 3rd place in the Mens Semi-Contact over 5ft 10 category. A fantastic day for Paul. Aaron Tavener took second place in the Mens over 5ft 10 Kumite category and got through to the second round of the Mens Semi-Contact over 5ft 10 category, a very good performance for Aaron in this only his second major competition. Mark Drew and Ralph Evans fought with courage and determination, but were beaten in their first rounds.
